What Distributors Should Know About Paint and Spray Booth Filters

Paint Booths have two integrated filtration systems: Air Supply and Overspray Collection. Both need to be coordinated to maximize the efficiency of the paint booth.

Paint booth efficiencies are achieved by the proper balance of filter efficiency, air flow restriction, and dust holding capacity.

Efficiencies that are too high may result in air flow restriction, shorten the life of the filter, and reduce laminar flow thereby creating paint defects.

Efficiencies that are too low will cause excessive paint defects and pre-mature filter changes.

Air Supply: Pre-filters and Ceiling filters

Overspray Collection: Exhaust filters
